Wonderful Weekend for William and Weston!

Our terrific twins, William and Weston, were baptized this weekend in Boise by their dad, David.  There was a lot of love in the room as these two wonderful boys joined the church through baptism and were given beautiful confirmation blessings and the gift of the Holy Ghost by David and a host of family Priesthood holders.
In the opening meeting David and Mindy gave the talks on Baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost reminding us that baptism is the first step on the path leading back to Heavenly Father, and that the sacrament and the Atonement are great blessings that wash us clean again each week as we repent and listen to the promptings of the Spirit.  I loved their talks! Short and perfect!
I will NEVER forget the miraculous, prayed for day when these boys were welcomed into the world!  They will always have a special place in my heart, and they add so much joy into our family.  I love our TWINS!

The weekend was filled with good times!  Here the cousins have fun in Adam and Steph's kiddie pool, and then it was time to get ready for Sadie's 12th birthday party!
Turning 12 is a big one and she had the party to match!  The Johnsons rented a 15 passenger van so that all "12" of her guests girls could ride together to the 12 destinations/activities that Mindy had planned.  The activity below took place at Target.  Each pair of girls had to find 12 items in an assigned color from different departments, be counted and approved, and then return each item to its proper place....all in 12 minutes.  Very fun!
Sadie waited 12 long years to get her ears pierced, so the whole gang cheered her on at the mall. (Hannah in the background.)  She was brave and VERY excited and so cute in her birthday crown and new earrings!
The party ran from 7-11 and everyone thought it was the best party ever. I was happy to tag along and enjoy all the fun!
We also fit in lunch at Quizno's with Parker, Mason and Ava.  We loved being "one on one" with them.  They are darling children!

The pictures of the weekend activities are a little out of order, but the baptism trumped them all and got first position.  Mindy and David hosted a family dinner after the baptism which is no small meal or deal with the Shipps and Johnsons present.  After the yummy meal we gravitated to the backyard where foot races by age level went on for a couple of hours!  The last race was between Michael and Adam...a very close win by Michael who tore his hamstring muscle in the effort.  The price of glory!

Sunday morning we attended Mindy's ward as it was a special day for the twins and Sadie.  Will and Weston both bore their testimonies in Sacrament Meeting and Sadie advanced to Young Women.  She recited the fourth Article of Faith and the bishop read Mindy's tribute to her one and only daughter.  I was a salt factory.  She was very poised and a little shy up at the podium until the Bishop mentioned that she got her ears pierced for her birthday. Sadie flipped her head and hair to show all her new "ears."  Darling!

We were filled with joy after this wonderful weekend and look forward to being with everyone in four weeks when Ryan and Julie's family comes to Boise.  More good times to come!
