Ringing in 2010!

We rang in the New Year at our home this year! All 28 of us under one roof! It went amazingly smooth. The cousins love being together and we sure have fun with our adult kids! Here we are feasting on our fondue dinner that I love to make on New Year's. Left to right are: Mindy and David, Jamie and Michael, Steph and Adam. The kids had an earlier dinner and were playing in our basement while we dined.
Ryan and Julie, Bill and Trudy rounded out group. We played a fun game of Jeopardy after eating and getting the kids to bed. (Jeopardy, ala David, is also a family tradition that we love.)
,.

New Year's came on Eastern time for the 18 children. The older ones were tired from a fun day on the ski slopes and piled in together for a cousin sleepover, the girls on one half of the basement....
And the boys on the other. Babies and toddlers were in portocribs in the best isolation we could work out.

We love being together and count it a wonderful blessing to be such great friends! Everything was very quiet by Saturday night when all left to go back home. Feast or famine at our house!

How fun to have all your family together. I'm sure it gets a little crazy like it does with us, but is still a lot of fun. I remember having sleepovers in the basement too. It's fun to see the tradition pass onto the next generation. Love you!

It is so much fun "re-living" those moments. I didn't even know the kids were set up in the basement like that!
