Disneyland 2010!

Bill and I just returned from a magical, fun-filled few days at Disneyland with Michael and Jamie and their children, Mason, Parker and Ava. Visiting the park mid-week made for small crowds and short wait times on the rides. Perfect!
Ava was dressed to match Minnie but she wasn't quite sure about the huge faced mouse. But she is always comfortable in Mommy's arms. (I have yet to see a bad picture of Jamie....she is sooo photogenic!)
Mason pretty much cleaned out the pennies, nickels and dimes from this fountain by stretching out so far that only his toes remained on solid ground. Unfortunately, even a pocket FULL of change won't buy anything at Disneyland!

One of the highlights of Day 1 was Parker and Mason fighting Darth Vadar himself on stage!

Mason was the first one chosen to learn Jedi skills as Jamie had made him a sign (tip from Julie) that said, "Star Wars Junkie"   and another poster with Mickey Mouse ears and face cut-out for Parker to hold up, reading, "Pick Me!" The sign was quickly conviscated after he was chosen and was never seen again...posters are forbidden in Disneyland.

Though the days were still warm and "unfall-like," I love the magical fall decorations at Disneyland.

Disneyland and California Adventure are so much fun, especially when seen through the eyes of our little people. It's truly magic!
On Friday we went to Huntington Beach, Bill's old stomping grounds, and played all day in the sand. Very picturesque with the pier right there and reminded me of beach dates with Bill in the 70's.    Then we drove around "Memory Lane" and visited Bill's childhood home and his schools, etc. Michael and family stayed in California for one more day of Disneyland/California Adventure, but Gramma and Grampa came home. Missing the kiddies already! And so glad they invited us to come!
