Our Boise "STARS" performed in their competition dance company's recital this last week and lit up the stage! I couldn't take my eyes off of them and was so proud of their performances, smiles and talent! They are amazing!
Hannah Dancin' Banana danced in three wonderful dances....I am partial to ballet and loved this one in her "Degas" costume! Her hands and arms are so long and elegant. She is so beautiful on stage...and off.
Kate sparkled in hip hop and ballet dances. Her stage presence is exceptional! So much expression. She was usually center stage and rightly so!
And Ellie danced in four numbers, including a trio routine that won first place in a hip hop competition previously...big trophy and all! She is amazing to watch and also sparkles at center stage.
And here are the two very patient younger siblings, Zach and Abby, who spend hours in the audience at numerous recitals supporting their big sisters. Adorable kids!
Adam and Steph's beautiful family. Steph puts in endless hours, especially on recital weeks, getting every accessory and costume just so for each daughter. And then there is getting every hair slicked back and into a "soft bun" on three daughters, eyelasses in place and make-up just right....times three! A big job for one dancing daughter! And then, of course, kuddos to Adam who pays for it all!
Mindy's family (- David) and the rest of us went to downtown Meridian for "Flatbread Pizza." Here are William, Zach, Miles, Weston, Hannah, Abby, Sadie and Kate. The cousins made individual pizzas at their own booth.

Saturday was soccer day. First we cheered on Miles' winning team and then later we cheered for Zach! Adam is the coach for Zach's team! Windy and cold outside making the day slightly unpleasant, but fun to support our athletes nonetheless.
Had to include this picture. I had taken a nice walk in Mindy's neighborhood on Friday morning and couldn't resist back tracking with my camera to take pictures of the Dogwood trees in all their glory in her Hickories neighborhood. Glorious!
Well, we are back home again for a couple of days before heading back to Henderson for Tyler's baptism! Testimony meeting was amazing today as was every class. It felt good to be in our own ward as we have missed so many Sundays lately. We are so blessed to live in a neighborhood with such truly good people (...even if we can't grow dogwood trees!). The family sitting next to us today in Sacrament meeting had their parents, the Iversons, visiting this week. The Dad (Grandpa) bore his testimony, saying that they were from Boise. That triggered something Mindy had told me. Anyway, he said, "I don't know the name of the people sitting next to us, but their daughter, Mindy Johnson, lives in our ward. She leads the choir and the music and always has a beautiful smile on her face." He was very complimentary and my heart was brimming! Just saw her yesterday and I miss Mindy already!
