Had to include a picture of the sleeping arrangements in the house when Steph came with her kids after spending a week in Palm Desert at their time share. The cousins love being together.
(Hannah, Kate, Sophie, Sadie, Ellie, Abby and Lily)
Gramma always trys to find a beautiful hike to take the kids on. This 3 mile one on the Chuckwalla Trail was a little long for the small ones, but with their parents patience and help, all made it to the top of Paradise Rim for a breather and photo shoot.
(Austin, Charlie, Miles, William, Henry, Tyler, Zach, and Weston)
Mindy and David's adorable crew.
Ryan and Julie's darling family.
And Steph's fabulous five with Gramma and Grampa. (Adam was home working... we missed him.)
We had Easter dinner and egg hunt on Saturday as Sunday was a long travel day for the Boise families. (Here are all my granddaughters except Ava. We missed Michael and his kids.)
Basketball on our outdoor court, swimming at the clubhouse, riding the mini motorcyle and scooters, playing the Wii, retrieving golf balls in the pond, running Weston's remote control wave runner on the pond, playing PIT with Gramma, and late night conversation with the adults pretty much rounded out the spring break. Ryan and Julie's family stayed another night and went to church with us on Sunday and then packed up and headed home...but they returned the following weekend for a Triathalon in which Ryan (15th place in age group) and Sophie (15th place) and Tyler (1st place) all participated. Race included swimming, biking and running.....as fast as you can! They all did very well!
And here is the traditional viewing of General Conference at the Shipp home!
I came home and got to look forward to an appendectomy which took place yesterday! Doing pretty well and taking it easy...thankful for Ibuprofen, modern procedures (lapriscoptic- sp?), an attentive, helpful husband, and time to relax and get well before teaching my first YW lesson in two days! (During my colonoscopy a few weeks ago, a polyp was found that was attached to my appendix...thus, the reason to have it removed...not appendicitis.) Well, so far, it's been an eventful spring! One more week and I'm off to the Oregon Coast with my sisters! Yahoo!
