Sisters Retreat in Sunny St. George

What fun it was to have my sisters, Lorle, Nancy and Sally, plus Marianne and Mindy down in St. George for a fun girls' retreat! Here we are in Bill's "garage" of memorabilia and early Corvettes. I call it his "museum" though he doesn't take to that name very much.

We ate out every day for at least one meal, here enjoying lunch and the sunshine at the "25th and Main" sandwich shoppe. (Bill said it had snowed 10 inches at home that day!!!)

Marianne and Sally worked on a couple of projects outside on our deck. Sally came in handy to those golfers who lost sight of their balls by shouting...."It"s in the WATER!"

Mindy joined us for a day and a half thanks to a great husband! She then continued on to San Diego to join her high school girlfriends for a few days. She made two Dr. Suess quilts tops and six July pillowcases in the short time she was with us. I sure LOVE her!

Our favorite lunch was at "Sweet Emma's" in Santa Clara across the street from this cute gift shop. The irises were too beautiful to pass by without a picture.

Well, the week passed by too quickly with sister/cousin fun. We had sewing machines set up all around the living room and we sewed our little hearts out. We always have such a good time together! This trip was particularly precious as we had Marianne with us. She has limited time left here with us, though we hope she shocks all doctors with how long she can beat her colon cancer. She and Sally have the most peaceful spirits and amaze me at how they enjoy each day without depression, fear or loss of faith. To them and to me, each day is a bonus to be grateful for! All of us were so happy and grateful that it worked out so perfectly for us to share this time together!
