Local Celebrity!

Just thought you all would like to read about our "local celebrity!"

BOISE -- An Idaho woman who was in the audience during a recent taping of the Oprah Winfrey show received $1,000 and instructions on how to spend the money. Stephanie Shipp was given a Sony video camera and told to document giving the money away.
With the help of her four children, Stephanie and her husband ordered pizza from four different restaurants and when the delivery person arrived at the door, she gave them a generous tip.
Shipp was one member of an Oprah audience that participated in the weeklong project, then sent their video to the studio.
Shipp's video was picked as one of the best and featured during Oprah's show Monday. The show airs weekdays on NewsChannel 7 at 4 p.m.
"We ordered pizza from four different places here in Eagle and when they got to the door I would count it out - $300 - and we basically just got the candid shot of their surprise," said Stephanie Shipp.
The goal was for all audience members to "pay it forward" and give to others in their communities.
Two other family members also got $1,000 to give away.
Shipp's sister-in-law bought some homeless people clothes for a job interview and her mother-in-law gave $1,000 to a college student.

Steph is famous! Fun article. Isn't it funny how the media doesn't quite get things right? The little media coverage that I had made several comments that made me think "ok, so where did that come from because it wasn't from me?" Funny that they only included mom and me when I am sure Steph also mentioned Jamie and Mindy. The saga continues!
