4th of July in Kentucky

Our Indepdence Day celebrations began with a baptism followed by a breakfast at the church. We headed over to Mike and Jamie's for a wet BBQ with some friends. The food was great and the rain held out for Ryan and Mike to put on the Shipp family fireworks display. The fireworks were of course supplied on a student budget, so they mostly consisted of loud noise makers (which the kids didn't like at all) and 3 in. fountain cones-not quite Thunder Over Louisville. Ty ended up takin hold of a sparkler and burned his hand, but we got him doctored up. We had a great time! We missed the rest of the family. Hopefully we will all be able to have a 4th celebration together in the future. Thanks to Mike and Jamie for hosting us!
